About Me

Xavier Manrique, Barcelona 1968.

Photographer.

His photography focuses on nature, which he is passionate about. His interest lies in creating images from fleeting moments, seeking the most unusual shapes and textures, taking advantage of different intensities and colors of light. From here, he shows a growing interest in the conceptualization of landscape, searching within it for metaphors of life and personal reflections.

For several years, he has exhibited regularly both individually and collectively in various venues and festivals. He has self-published and released several photo books. In them, he reflects on his images and generates visual, metaphorical, and poetic narratives about place. Among the awards received, highlights include those obtained at prestigious competitions such as Fundació Vila Casas, Mezquita de Córdoba, Montphoto, and Montier-En-Der in France.
